ConveyorTek have recently invested in high tech magnet manufacturing equipment and production facilities to support its rapid growth in the manufacture of conveyor magnets and metal separation equipment.
This new investment will greatly improve the company’s output capacity, improve efficiency and ensure the consistent manufacture of high quality performance magnets.
Joe McCaughey, ConveyorTek Metal Separation Business Development Manager stated,‘This investment is a real game changer for the company and the introduction of new modern equipment in conjunction with our R&D facility and expanding engineering team, makes ConveyorTek a main player in the conveyor magnet market.’
ConveyorTek design and manufacture a wide range of metal separation technologies including permanent, drum and electro-magnets; eddy current separators; and metal detectors at its two manufacturing facilities in Lisburn, Northern Ireland.
Over the last few years the Company has experienced rapid growth in its metal separation division and currently exports 80% of all products manufactured to 15 different countries, most recently signing new dealership agreements for the USA and Australian markets.
In addition to the metal separation division ConveyorTek manufacture a wide range of conveyors for the bulk handling industry and are a well-established supplier of conveyor components and site service.
Philip Trimble, Managing Director of ConveyorTek had this to say: “2017 has been another great year and the company continues to expand at a rapid pace. Our focused investment in R&D is helping the company develop new products and reach new markets. This was reflected when recently we were very proud to receive the prestigious 2017 Materials Handling Engineers Association (MHEA) ‘Innovation Excellence Award’ for our newly launched industry metal detector.’
The newly launched high-performance conveyor metal detector, which uses a ‘pulse induction technology’, can self-calibrate and, uniquely, can ignore steel cable belts and rip detection systems, while still detecting rogue metal pieces.
The Company believe that the competitive price, fast assembly procedure, extremely robust frame and high detection capabilities will, in time, make this metal detector the new industry benchmark.
Additionally, ConveyorTek has sold its largest electro-magnet this year, a 2.2m wide system to service a steel cord belt, weighing 18 tonnes and offering extremely high magnetic forces
ConveyorTek has recently undertaken a rebranding exercise to include the tagline “technical excellence”, the main attribute that the Company believes sets it apart from its competitors.
For 2018, ConveyorTek will continue to expand its export presence and has some innovative new products in the pipeline. The Company is also looking forward to exhibiting at various trade events, most notably the Hillhead Show.
